Raising Your Vibration - How Letting Go Transforms Your Energy and Health.

After immersing myself in “Letting Go” by David Hawkins on audio over the last few days and and diving deeper into my Root Cause Therapy (RCT) course as I catch up from the Christmas rest and retreat, I have gained a heightened awareness of the profound connection between emotions, energy, and the state of our health.

Dr David Hawkins’ Scale of Consciousness provides an absolutely fascinating framework that highlights how the energy we emit, through thoughts, emotions, and beliefs can either nourish or deplete us. This awareness has illuminated the subtle yet powerful link between the cause (our internal state) and the effect (our external experience and physical health).

Hawkins’ chart is a guide to emotional and energetic states, assigning frequencies to various emotions. Lower frequency states like shame, guilt, fear, and anger resonate at levels below 200 often associated with survival mode, stress, and even chronic illness. These states are energetically draining and can create an inner environment ripe for discomfort and disease. On the flip side, emotions such as love, joy, peace, and enlightenment vibrate at higher frequencies, fostering healing, clarity, and expansion.

Here’s a brief snapshot of the scale:

Enlightenment (700-1000) – The highest levels of spiritual awareness and connection.

Peace (600) – A state of deep tranquility and surrender.

Joy (540) – Expansive energy that uplifts and transforms.

Love (500) – A deeply healing frequency that radiates compassion and unity.

Courage (200) – The tipping point where empowerment begins.

Anger (150) – Can fuel action but also perpetuates inner conflict.

Fear (100) – Heightened anxiety and stress that often manifests physically.

Guilt (30) – Leads to self-punishment and regret.

Shame (20) – The lowest vibration, associated with feelings of unworthiness and despair.

Why Does Raising Your Vibration Matter?

Every thought we think, word we speak, and emotion we hold has a tangible energetic signature. When we exist in lower vibrational states for prolonged periods, our nervous system stays on high alert, contributing to burnout, adrenal fatigue, and suppressed immunity. The body keeps the score, and over time, unprocessed emotions may manifest as chronic pain, digestive issues, or mental health struggles.

Conversely, when we consciously engage in practices that elevate our emotional state, we create an internal shift that promotes healing and resilience. By letting go of lower vibrational emotions, through breathwork, meditation, massage, reiki, movement, or therapy, we allow the body to recalibrate, returning to its natural state of balance.

The beauty can be in the small acts of resistance and ad we can haves choice each day as how to best shift our energy.

The exquisiteness of Hawkins’ work lies in its simplicity raising your vibration doesn’t require grand gestures. Small, consistent practices create dynamic shifts over time. Here are some simple but powerful ways to elevate your vibration each day -

1. Practice Gratitude

Start each day by listing three things you’re grateful for. Gratitude immediately shifts your focus to abundance.

2. Mindful Breathing (Peace)

Just five minutes of deep, conscious breathing calms the nervous system and raises your frequency.

3. Let Go of Judgment (Acceptance)

Catch yourself in moments of self-criticism or judgment of others, and consciously choose compassion instead.

4. Movement and Nature (Joy)

A walk outside, yoga, massage or even dancing to your favorite song can elevate your mood and energy.

5. Acts of Kindness (Love)

A simple gesture like holding the door for someone or offering a kind word can shift you into the vibration of love.

6. Release Stored Emotions

Engage in practices like journaling, somatic release, or therapies like RCT to let go of suppressed feelings that anchor you to lower states.

7. Reconnect with Joy

Do one thing each day that lights you up, something as simple as reading, creating, or spending time with loved ones.

8. Stillness and Meditation (Peace)

Sitting in silence allows you to reconnect with the present moment, quieting the noise of lower vibrational thoughts.

There Is A Ripple Effect of Raising Your Vibration.

As you rise on the scale, not only does your inner world transform, but the external world begins to reflect this shift. Opportunities flow more effortlessly, relationships improve, and you begin to feel aligned with a deeper sense of purpose. The more consistently you operate from higher frequencies, the more your life takes on a sense of ease and synchronicity.

In essence, the path to healing isn’t about bypassing the lower vibrational states but acknowledging them, allowing yourself to feel them, and then consciously choosing to release and transcend. Letting go isn’t about denial, it’s about surrender. By releasing the grip of fear, guilt, or anger, you make space for love, joy, and peace to take root.

Every small shift upward on Hawkins’ scale creates momentum, reminding us that healing is not only possible, it’s inevitable when we prioritise our emotional and energetic wellbeing.
