The SomaStar Journey is a deeply restorative, trauma-informed experience that blends somatic therapy with energetic healing, breathwork, and emotional release. It invites you to gently reconnect with your body, unwind held tension, and release the emotional imprints that may be keeping you stuck.

Whether you are carrying stress, past trauma, emotional overwhelm, or simply feel disconnected from yourself, SomaStar offers a safe, intuitive space to shift from survival to flow.

 

What Is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy is a body-centered healing approach that recognises how our life experiences, especially trauma, stress, and emotional suppression, are not just “in our head,” but live in our body.

 

Over time, these unprocessed experiences can cause us to feel:
  •   Anxious or numb
  •   Overwhelmed or  disconnected
  •   Stuck in patterns or reactive responses
  •   Physically tense, fatigued, or out of balance

 

Through conscious breath, body awareness, movement, and nervous system regulation, somatic therapy helps you feel safe enough to feel. And when you feel safe your body begins to release.

This is not talk therapy. This is not performance.
This is presence. This is process. This is healing from the inside out.

 

The REAL Method: A Four-Step Journey Back to You

SomaStar is guided by the “REAL” mind and body healing approach, a powerful somatic-emotional healing process developed by Shana Neril. It is designed to move you through four key stages of embodied transformation:

R - Restore Flow

We begin by grounding into breath and body.
This stage creates safety, invites stillness, and honours what is real right now.


You are guided to connect, not correct to feel without fixing.

Here we shift from story to sensation.

Instead of analysing, we come into the present moment.

What to Expect

Each SomaStar session is a gentle, grounded journey inward, where you are invited to reconnect with your body, emotions, and inner wisdom at your own pace.

 

We always begin with talking therapy and body-awareness practices, helping you tune into what you’re feeling and where it’s showing up in your body. From this foundation of presence and trust, we allow the session to unfold intuitively, in response to what your body needs most.

 

As we work together, I may integrate a range of somatic and energetic tools, including:
  •   Breathwork – to support nervous system regulation, increase presence, and guide emotional release
  •   Gentle movement and therapeutic shaking – to process and release held tension and trauma
  •   Reiki energy healing – to restore energetic flow, promote deep relaxation, and support the body’s innate healing wisdom
  •   Sound healing – using tuning forks or sound bowls to shift energy and bring balance to the nervous system
  •   Grounding touch and bodywork – where appropriate, to create safety, soothe the system, and reconnect you with your body in a gentle, non-invasive way

Every session is trauma-informed and led with care. You are never pushed to go deeper than your system is ready for. We move with compassion, curiosity, and consent.

Every session is unique, but many clients report:
  •   A sense of deep calm and emotional release
  •   Tears, tingles, laughter, or gentle shaking (all signs of release)
